About Kozy Korner Pizza & Sports Bar
Originally Kozy Korner was purchased by our parents Scott and Chari Nelson in New Richmond in 1990.
Kozy Korner then opened a new location in the kitchen of the Village Inn 1992, in North Hudson. Kozy Korner offered up the food while the Village Inn offered up the beverages. In 2005 we sold the Kozy Korner in New Richmond leaving only the North Hudson location. In 2008 Kozy Korner moved from the Village Inn across the street into the Idaho Chucks building. Kozy Korner was officially opened August 28, 2008.
Our father, Scott has run Kozy from the very beginning and Cory, Kirk and I (Ryan) had just been employees. Today, Kozy Korner is owned by Scott, Ryan, Cory and Kirk. Our mother Chari, well she has a real job and works for shareholder services. She comes by and helps all the time, on busy days or if we are a little short staffed. We are a true family business and there is only a few hours a week where you won’t see a family member working or mingling with our loyal patrons.
We like to consider ourselves as a real sports bar being more than a place where you can just watch sports. We love anything Wisconsin. Our decor is heavily branded with the University of Wisconsin Badgers. We also portray memorabilia for the Brewers and the Packers. For your entertainment we provide 19 TV’s and they are never all on the same channel. We also will show games that are not shown on TV but that are on the internet. We take bus trips to Brewers baseball every year and in the future we will take them to Wisconsin football games. Whenever the Badgers play in Minnesota we will get groups to go to games. We have taken multiple bus trips to Badger hockey games over the years.
Kozy Korner is also the “Northwest Home of the University of Wisconsin – Marching Band” and have invited them and had the band play at Kozy Korner at least once a year.
Kozy Korner invites you to come down any day of the week to enjoy our great food, great friends and have a great time. Please check our events calendar frequently for games and other news hosted here in North Hudson.
We look forward to seeing you.
Scott, Ryan, Cory and Kirk
